The main characters in my book remind me of other Nicholas Sparks characters.  Will and Ronnie are just like Noah and Allie from The Notebook.  They meet during the summer and instantly have a connection.   In The Last Song, Will's mom doesn't approve of Ronnie because of her appearance.  There's a part when Ronnie hears Will's mom yelling at him saying that Ronnie is "low class".  Ronnie is in the next room and she hears this and gets really upset.  This relates to The Notebook because there's a scene when Allie's parent's yell at her because they don't approve of Noah.  They say he is "trash".  These two parts really reflect eachother.
